Assistant Fire Chief Paul Miller said today.

Authorities are still investigating the cause of the 5 a.m. blaze that destroyed much of the house. Miller said fire officials believe the fire started in the garage and then spread to the rest of the structure. The fast-moving fire was well involved by the time fire crews arrived, miller said.

The two adults inside the home and their pets escaped the fire without injury, he said.

A total of 13 departments responded to the scene and had the fire under control in about an hour, Miller said. The Burlington County Chapter of the Red Cross responded to the fire scene to help the victims, giving them financial assistance for food and clothing.
